About me: I'm not fast, but I love being a runner. Current goals are to regain 10 min/mile daily running pace and to average 30 miles per week plus a couple long runs per month. Last few years have been problematic since injuring my back getting tossed off a horse in 2004, but I'm doing great now.

Why do I run: Mainly because I enjoy it so much and find that even the tough days have value. It's really part of who I am and my day wouldn't be complete without it.

Why I started running: I took up jogging as an exercise to lose weight when I was 19 because I had always enjoyed running when playing as a child and so I thought I might stick with it. Over 30 years later, I can said that has absolutely been true! I was totally hooked from the start. |
