It was sometime in 2012...I think within the last 6 months or so. They had listed the steps on how they made it and I've been searching for it with no luck...

anybody? I thought I had saved the topic/post, but apparently not!

Man, I searched "GoogleEarth" on here under several different forums (I can't seem to do any searches on the main forum--weird!), but I stupidly didn't look under general running. ha ha

Seems as though a growing number of races are offering 3D flyovers of their course on various sites, here's an example from mapmyrun.com. Personally, I like the viewtherace.com' videos.
