Seems Pistorious did NOT have an unfair advantage (Read 423 times)

    Not to rehash the entire debate, but not making the team doesn't mean he didn't have a technological advantage; it simply means that even with such an advantage, if any, he was not one of the six fastest South African athletes in his event.

        Dr. Ross Tucker of The Science of Sport has followed the Pistorius saga closely from the beginning. He has been adament all along that the Chetahs do give his countryman, Pistorius, a decided advantage. Yesterday, before the announcement reported in the NY TImes article of Pistorius not being selected for the SA Olympic team, Dr. Tucker postedthis article on his blog arguing that Pistorius' own tests, as well as those of the IAAF earlier in the year, demonstrate that the Cheetahs do provide a physiological advantage.
