I have been running in brooks beast. They have raised the heel on it. The old one was to high as it was. I am a mid foot runner so I need more support towards the front of my foot. Any recommendations for something with a lower heel than brooks beast, a bit more arch support, and more flexible. I do like the lass it is built on, it is shaped well for my feet. I am getting so frustrated over shoes. For some reason being a 13 wide greatly cuts down on my choices. Anybody else out there also feel as though they may never find a perfect shoe?

Yes, that's why I do as much running as possible without any.

I am seriously considering adding in some barefoot work. Maybe some day I won't need shoes.

I'm a a flatfoot runner alway's looking for a better r.s., i've had beast, they're ok, I suggest you try Niki Air Equalon, pretty damn good...oh, I replace the liner in all my r.s. with a full orthodic...G.L. scott
