I ran it. On someone else's bib though since I didn't sign up in time. Craigslist was my friend. $85 bib for $30. With the exception of Haines Point that doesn't have access, the crowds were amazing. Do you remember the crowds over near the Jefferson Memorial right before you went up on the bridge back over to Crystal City? Big grin

I think I was busy mentally bouncing off the walls knowing I actually made the bridge and beat the bus. I was scared to death during my training that I wasnt going to be able to do that. There were parts of it that I am sad to say is a blur to me.

I remember when I came back into Crystal City, i cant remember what mile....but it was amazing, that really got me fired up again....I also remember a spectator offering me a beer...i thought that was funny.

I ran it and loved it! It makes me want to run more marathons in different places! My daughter ran it too - though she didn't know it at the time she ran it with a stress fracture! Ouch! ajh
