Stupid Taper - Just venting (Read 737 times)

    I might be different from others, but I run low mileage (30 miles/week) and I seem to get huge benefits from the 3 week taper, especially a very easy last 10 days. My pace at comparable heart rates get WAY WAY faster during the last week before the race versus the training beforehand. I am really not doing anything differently but running less, so it has to be that rest that is making me so much faster at the same efforts.
