Future Training Log (Read 909 times)

This may have already been requested (or maybe I'm the only one interested, or maybe you can do this, but I couldn't find it), but it would be nice to have a way to input my *intended* training. In other words, I find a great training plan for a half marathon, it would be great to be able to input that into my training log, and then check off the days as I complete them. Anyway, love the site, love the training log and love the message boards. I'm a developer so I know how much work this must be. Thanks!!! MTA: I'm an idiot, I think I see a post a few down from mine that eventually asks for the same thing.

You could add your intended runs as events. Under the training log tab there is a drop down menu from new run entry.
Right, but I can't convert that into an actual run entry after it happens. Can I?

Just input as a run and put the date when it will be in the future. Then when the day comes, edit it for any changes. If you want to automate it a bit, there is an importer function, but that will take a bit of prepwork to put it into a csv file in the proper format. It can be done though. Main thing you would import is distance, time and then use the comments to describe the workout. I have done it -- it works decent.

I've been saying this for the last couple of months now... I'm working on the next version of the log. Once it's done, the next project will be to add support for a training plan. It will do exactly what you're asking for. Well, at least in my mind right now. I'm sure I'll encounter plenty of roadblocks just like my current project.
Sweet! And thanks again Eric for all of your hard work, this is a really great website!!!
