Forums >Running 101>Marathon charity entry bib and the Alzheimer’s Association
Does anyone have any info on the Alzheimer’s Association being affiliated with any marathon out there?
I would like to raise funds for the Alz Assoc. and it would be a happy coincidence if that would get me entry/travel to a marathon somewhere.
As you can tell I’m new to this “charity entry” idea and any info you could pass along (be it an affiliation with the Alz Assoc or not) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
d

The Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon (CANADA) is in June; it would be a beautiful course if it's not raining.

The Bluenose Marathon is also fundraising for Alzheimers.

The Run For Heroes marathon, in Amherstburg, Ontario, is also called the World Alzheimer's Day Run. It's a wonderful small marathon, flat course and incredibly friendly volunteers and spectators. Nice place for a mini-vacation as well. I highly recommend it.

You can raise money for the Alzheimer's Association through the Pittsburgh Marathon. As a researcher in the Alzheimer's disease field I know this organization is a worthy cause. Check out the link below
