Topped 1000 Miles! (Read 897 times)

    Well know not a real big deal compared to a lot on here, but I am getting there!  At the begining of year when barely running anything after knee injury in the fall 1000 seemed like an awefully big number

    I guess maybe with rounding my Log is actually right at the 999.9 flip over on the odemeter, but when I add my summary totals I got 1001 after this morning runs.

    And what would be a post without a little table.

    Month Miles YTD QTD Projected Yr Projected @ current Note

    Jan-09 49.10 49.10 589.20 * Recovery from Knee Injury.  Wow not even 50 miles … 12 MPW!

    What amazes me is I was able to get here after such an extremly slow start in the year.  I will almost run more miles this month then I did Jan - Mar combined (I guess will have to schedule 1 last LR 9/30).  In addition by near 500 miles in the last 3 months is almost as much as I ran the first 6 months combined ... No wonder I feel tired.

    If I keep up rest of year at about current milage, which is the plan after marathon recovery I should break 1600 miles for the year.

    I guess next year i will have to join the swamp .... Ohhh the horror!

    One day at a time

      Congratulations!  That is really great work.  I see that you've reached a lot of your goals, too.  Hmm, I don't know about joining the swamp.  I think you might be too classy for them.

        great job,  Robert!  key is running injury free!
          ...along with a precipitous drop in pace.  Nice work, friend.

                    I hope your knee problems (and mine) stay away.

                    GOOD LUCK!!!!

                      excellent!  WTG.  2000 in 2010?

                      2012= under-goaled

                        excellent!  WTG.  2000 in 2010?

                        Yeah ... Did not have a milage goal this year (Now its 1600), But next year will make 2000 the minimum goal just maintaining base and maybe even 2400!  200 miles a month seems like a nice round number.
