Garmin Forerunner stopped vibrating? (Read 56 times)

Hi everyone - I have a Garmin Forerunner 230 and after a charge this week, it stopped vibrating. I now find this to be a pretty critical feature of the watch because it makes interval training so much easier (you don't have to keep looking at your watch for when the interval will end).

I've tried soft resets (turning the watch on and off), hard resets (restore defaults), turning the vibration feature on and off, but nothing has worked. I reached out to Garmin support but they just said to send it in for $99 for repair, which is ridiculous. I'm on the latest firmware, but the vibration turning off happened before downloading a new one so I don't think it's related to that.

Has anybody had this issue and figured out how to solve it?

My unscientific opinion is that you are basically screwed, and either you pay the $99 for repair or $250 for a new 235.

Question: does it still beep? Doesn’t that serve the same purpose?

JMac, I remember my 235 stopped vibrating or beeping or something after a particular software update, but then I just had to manually toggle it off and on and it was fine again.  Sounds like the vibration function might actually be broken Sad
