New Shoes to correct Ankle Injury (Read 338 times)

Hi All, I just bought new shoes for running tonight, and the toes on my left foot fell asleep 20 minutes into the run! They were not tightly laced, but they are shoes to correct a form problem with the left ankle (improperly healed hairline fracture) and while it looks like they correct the form problem, I wonder if I need to exchange the shoes if they make my foot fall asleep. I haven't had any problems like this before, except occasionally on the eliptical machine when it's in both feet, and that's just from not moving my feet enough during the exercise. Any suggestions? Is there an exercise I can do to strengthen the muscles in the corrected foot, or should I just return the shoes to the running store and get other ones? Any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks!!
