Greetings from summy South Africa. Anyone else out there planning on running The Comrades Marathon this year ?

No, but good luck to you if you are. I've read about this race. Sounds brutal, yet strangely appealing... Congratulations to your Springboks on a fine win at the RWC in 2008.
