I can run a dozen miles at once.
Today, for the first time, I ran 12 miles without stopping. Last year, I couldn't run more than 1 mile!
Last year, I ran a 10:30mm pace for that one mile at a HR of 175. Today I ran each mile at a 8:45 pace with a HR of 135.
I just signed up for my first full marathon. And I turn 40 in 2 weeks. Take that, middle age!

Good job. I bet in another year you'll look back and say wow, I couldn't have believed I could have gotten here.

That is terrific! That is a lot of progress in one year :-) (Sounds like me too, fairly new to running, age 39.5, and the miles I can do keep going up, up, up :-)
Which full marathon are you doing, and when?
