First Sub 11:00 2 Mile! (Read 907 times)

So, I got under 11:00 in the two mile today at the Catholic High Schools Invitational down in Attleboro, MA with a time of 10:58.84. I came in 5th overall, too, so that is the first time I have ever placed/scored in an individual event (my 4X400 team took first in the Frosh/Soph League Championship in the winter). I'm not quite sure about my splits yet (I'll find out in school tomorrow), but I am very happy I have broken that barrier. Now to get sub-5:00 in the mile on Tuesday... As for the rest of the team, we looked good. Two of my fellow freshmen in the two mile got sub 10:50, one of the sophomores did, and we took second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh in the two mile (some kid from Bishop Feehan was wicked good with 10:16.96). Overall, we won the meet, and it is shocking how much better it feels when you score in a meet that your team won. One day at a time

Congratulations to you and your team! It sounds as if you're improving rapidly. Great job scoring! Good luck in the mile on Tuesday. You're racing a lot this week!
Very impressive. I ran 11:15 my freshman year and just finished of high school with a p.r. of 9:30 so you definately have alot ahead of you. Keep of the good work.
          I think that is amazing.....GOOD JOB>>>>
