Marathon turned out fantastic - hamstring hurt but held up. I ran slowly and soaked in every moment - truly a blessing and a dream come true. Thanks to everyone for the support, wisdom, and encouragement - I do genuinely appreciate it. This was my swan song for the long stuff. Maybe a half here and there but no more marathons, and I'm not unhappy about it.
So glad it worked out for you. But don’t turn down a longer race, such as a marathon if the right opportunity presents itself.
