handheld water bottles (Read 1354 times)

Bogart

I used to wear a camelbak around-the-waist water carrier.  It holds 28 oz. and didn't joggle around at all.   It isn't uncomfortable and hot like the backpack style.     Plus sucking the water through the tube was something I could do while at a full run, unlike drinking from a bottle.

I find it a lot easier to take a sip with my hand-led - I don't have to reach back and fumble around for the bottle, not to mention trying to replace it!  In fact, I've been running for 18+ years and only this year started drinking while running for this very reason; used to have to take a walk break for a drink.  Maybe my race times will improve!

Take a look at Race Ready shorts. They have plenty of room for gels, etc.

My husband got these, but found that with too much in the pockets they started slipping off him....
