jealous of those waves! i think i'm going to join my college gym b/c it's cheap and complete. even if i just go on the weekends, i'll be able to do exactly what i need to do. and during the summer and on school breaks, i'll go more often/be able to take advantage fo the rec classes (coached swimming, for me). the low cost will mean i get my money's worth, even if i spend most of my free time running outside and only use the gym a couple of times a month.

I have a gym-in-a-tent-package. I has ~10 treadmills, 10 ellipticals, 10 bikes, as well as olympic weight equipment, weight machines, and classes. No charge, it's a perk of the job. Only a few problems, mostly concerning territorial meatheads who spend hours posing, socialising, hitting on the rare female that comes in... doing pretty much anything that precludes getting an actual workout. They have a personal trainer who is more than willing to give fitness evaluations and set up workout programs, but unfortunately, the people who need her services most have yet to take her up on the offer. I work overnights right now so I can pretty much go whenever I want as long as my work gets done.
