Forums >Look What I Can Do!>Today ... I WON
Today I WON a race. After 4,5 years, over 14.000 km and over 25 races today .. I WON. Not on the top 10%, not the first guy on my age group (43 years old and counting) I was the first human being over the finish line. It was short (5,1 km) it was local (50 runners) but .. guess what? I WON (obviously first time ever). The time was pretty decent (for myself) 20:02. :-)
And tomorrow I have an appointment with the local press for an interview on my "astonishing" running career for the regional paper !!
Gosh .. it feels good !!!
Targets 1) No injuries 2) Keep having fun 3) Some kind of PR

The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff
