Type of workout (Read 222 times)


    I just signed up a few weeks ago for this site. I have only been running a sort of long distance (around 3 miles) for almost a year, and I didn't know there were different types of running. Can someone explain to me what a tempo run, easy run, long run, interval run, etc. is?

      Here some threads that will be helpful for you. Enjoy the journey! Even with the below info, I think most of your miles should be comfortable other than striders and perhaps some tempo pace a couple miles a week. You need to build up your mileage more before incorpoarating a lot of the below. A 5k race (all out) can help you determine paces.
