Forums >Running 101>1st Marathon Training Plan Advice
I don't mean to "sell" our on-line training program here (well, maybe a little... ;o)) but the thing is; whatever I may suggest, it's in there. ...... At any rate, if you're actually really interested, I'd suggest you actually go to our site (www.running-wizard.com) and check it out.
Thanks for the clarification and also the link to the training tool. I'll check that out - sounds like it would be worth the investment. What if I select a 4 day program and 8-10 weeks into it I feel good enough to want to bump it to 5 days a week - can the training plan be tweaked ?
Nolan Shaheed is a jazz musician, plays trumpet.
Do you think blowing the trumpet for 40 years helped him run a mile in under 5 minutes at age 60? I do!
PBs since age 60: 5k- 24:36, 10k - 47:17. Half Marathon- 1:42:41.
10 miles (unofficial) 1:16:44.
not bad for mile 25

I think I should have played more jazz.
Took the plunge and going with the Running Wizard custom training program. Will let you know in the late fall how it worked out !
