I should have clarified. It measured shorter distance, and also less time. In hindsight, I think what happened is that it was auto pausing randomly throughout the race which threw off both the distance and time. These watches are great, but they have limitations and cannot be relied on at all times---especially during races. I always race with my Timex on the other wrist.
