    Very nice! Congrats.

I think that slow second mile up the hill made you one of the smartest people on the course -- and it paid off.
Congrats Kimmie. Excellent job getting under four hours.

Mile 23- 8:33- ok, so this where I think that I can "kick it in" Mile 24- 11:00- ok, this is where my body laughed at the attempt to kick it in.
Seriously, I laughed out loud when I read these two lines. Partially because when I did my marathon last week I said the same thing at the exact same mile - and my body laughed at me on the exact same next mile. Congratulations on an awesome time and meeting your goal!!!!!!!!

          My legs are killing me

            Great job Kimmie!

Great run Kimmie and love the RR. Am hoping to do the same thing (under 4hrs) at the end of Nov.

Great job Kimmie!! Did you have the name "Kim" on your shirt? I ran with a Kim at (I think) Haines Point. I had "Susan" on mine. Would be quite the coincidence. My report coming soon.

Susan! Oh my gosh... that is awesome that you are here. marathon foto actually has a picture of us next to each other. You know when I'm running and chatting with someone at a race I forget to ask if they just might be part of the Running Ahead group. How did you do? i was just saying to DH how I ran with so many nice people but I'll never know how they did because all I got was first names. Very cool- it was nice meeting you and thanks for adding to my race experience. I just saw that you BQ.... you were 2 minutes behind me. Good for you! I'm so excited for you. I think we ran together mile 7 for a little while (that's what I wrote in my report) and then again at Hains Point and then again on the Mall for a little while. nice job and write that report! Smile

Wow! It's amazing that out of all those runners we managed to hook up. It was great talking to you! I think you're right that we connected at about 3 points along the way. I'll have to check out our picture. Most of my pictures are pretty scary, but I'll buy one of the finish line photos to mark my first marathon. Nice meeting you and great job on your PR!!

Congrats Kimmie, sub-4 is stellar! So what did you think of the new course? I heard the Haines Point area was lacking in the spectator/cheering area? You can actually rate and review the race this year and provide them with feedback which might help improve the event. I hope your recovery is going well. ~Toby

Congratulations Kimmie!! What I like most about your report is that you kept telling everyone you were going sub-4. I think that kind of confidence would help me...I've yet to go sub-4, but I try to quietly sneak up on it. Maybe I should try your approach. Big grin Great job!!
