Forums >Racing>Race Clip Thread
I think it would be nice if we had a thread comprising people's favorite race clips.
Post what you like (obviously), but it would be nice to see clips undoctored by special effects and/or background music. Of course, if the clip is cool enough, I guess the background music isn't a big deal after all.
I'll start:
Chicago Marathon 2010 (Men's Finish)
Chris Solinski Breaks American Record
"If you have the fire, run..." -John Climacus
2003 Footlocker XC Nationals
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx
Rob
Peter Snell
Michael Stember in the 1600 CA State Championship because he's a local boy at a high school here in Sacramento...

5th Ave Mile (2012)
Make sure you count your laps for the 5000m!
Lopez Lomong here...
Foot Locker.. 2000..
Ritz, Webb and Hall!
And we run because we like itThrough the broad bright land
The race videos from the 2012 Olympics are really good, in my view.
I have been watching them to keep sane and motivated as I come back from injury. Too many good ones, for me to list them all, but some of my favorites:
Rudisha Breaks World Record
Women's 400m Final
4x400m Relay
Farah, Rupp, 1, 2
Women's 10,000m
Women's 5000m
Women's Marathon
Men's Marathon
If you have a clip or ten to share, by all means, please do.
Very nice choices Nader...
Did you see this the other day?
Oh.. just another 800m around the HS track.

I saw. Unreal.
My favorite.
It's so beautiful to watch. That stride length and butt kick they're getting is un-effing-believable.
MTA: Trigger warning: Music and slow motion
There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.
We are always running for the thrill of it
Always pushing up the hill, searching for the thrill of it
Abe's is my favorite as well, though all the clips are good. I almost posted it myself even with the editing and music. I watch this sometimes before races just to remind myself of what this is all about.
Bill Mills is pretty good too. At least the final lap
Relays in the Bahamas.. Ben Blankenship waving on the Kenyan runner at the 1:12-15 mark.
Dave Wottle...
Lagat..
Nick Symmonds.. and last year too (in German?)
Sammy Wanjiru in Chicago...
