I plan on running in a college indoor 3k soon and was wondering if anyone knew any good track workouts for this distance. I'm currently running around 50 miles a week.
It would help to know a bit more information. How soon is your race? How do you fill your 50 mi/week? What is your goal for the race?
I agree, not enough information.
To me, 3000m training is just training. Mileage, hills, tempos, long runs ... maybe a couple / few 3k pace specific workouts like 8-10 x 400 or 6-8 x 600 at 3k pace with equal time recoveries.
If it's not a goal race, I'd just train through and not do anything specific. I raced a 3000 on Saturday off of just base training.
