Just long enough to spark the imagination, I'd reckon
I don't necessarily disagree, Redbird, but a lot of the time I'm wearing pants I'm dealing with wind or running through snow and my legs do actually get cold, though lately I've been considering giving the olive oil route a shot.

How long are your cutoffs, Red Bird?
They drop close to my knees. I do use a shorter pair too though
