amen...one of my Xmas presents from 18 years ago keeps me up howling and I still love him (grey striped kitty named Spud). He was such a cute kitten but I know I have spent well over $2000.00 on him (hit by car, poisoned, fell off a roof...abcess...)

Once you begin to see how many pets are in rescue groups, shelters & human societies, it is sad and shocking that some people still run to the mall pet shop to bring home a puppy for Christmas.
