Returning to Running after injury or time off (Read 34 times)

    Quick question for you guys, when returning to regular training after time off for either injury or just taking a break, how quickly do you build back up? Do you go by the 10% rule or go by feel? Before injured my last training block (4 week period) averaged about 60 km. I never totally quit running but switched to more strength and now average for the last 4 weeks 26 km a week, last week finishing up at 40 km a week. I'ts been 8 weeks of reduced mileage, and I'm feeling pretty good but also don't want to get too enthusiastic and back to square one. So curious what your strategies are.
