    Hello All,

I signed up here to try to get some help for my dad . He is 55 years old , very active and healthy, and a very active runner for years. Running is his life. He runs everyday sometimes twice a day for years. He recently started to get sever pain when running on his left leg and was diagnosed with venous insufficiency. My dad's doctor recommended Sclerotherapy, so my dad did the therapy out of pocket, and waited over the 10 days of recovery to run. Now he is saying the pain is even worse and he can't run  or jog at all! I was wondering if anyone here that is a runner and athletic like my dad has had venous insufficiency and has also had luck with any treatments. Running is my dads life and he is really anxious and hoping he can run again soon.

Thank you for the help!!!! Smile Smile Smile

I am 55 and was told I have venous insufficiency. I did not have pain from it, just annoying spider veins. I had sclerotherapy in the spring and had no provlems afterwards. Maybe he has something else going on???? Good luck.
