                This wasn't on the ground, but it was weird....

                 

                Sunday morning I was about a mile into my run when I started getting dive-bombed by crop dusters. Yes, plural.  I actually slowed down and almost stopped at one point because this dude was flying low across the field right towards me.  Not that I was scared but it was certainly interesting for a Sunday morning.

                No excuses....

                  A large Northern Water Snake, immediately followed by my nearly unconcious wife.  Shocked

                  Fat old man PRs:

                  • 1-mile (point to point, gravity assist): 5:50
                  • 2-mile: 13:49
                  • 5K (gravity assist last mile): 21:31
                  • 5-Mile: 37:24
                  • 10K (first 10K of my Half Marathon): 48:16
                  • 10-Mile (first 10 miles of my Half Marathon): 1:17:40
                  • Half Marathon: 1:42:13

                        A hot air balloon, then a zebra.  Both on the ground.

                        Within a 1/4 mile of each other.

                         

                        Not a zoo, just a run through the county roads.

                        2017 Goals:

                        #1: Do what I can do (200+ training days, 200+ aerobic hours). 

                        #2: Race shape (1/2 marathon, 2 half Ironmans, marathon)

                        #3: Prepare for 2018

                            I've also caught a hot air balloon landing.  That was much less noisy than the crop dusters.
