I went from injured to a well run 100 miler in less than two months.  Maybe all of this training is overrated.  All of my friends who logged the big miles and huge runs suffered on race day.

12-22   Last One Standing  - dnf 37 miles

      1-23  Sun Marathon - 3:53

      3-4-23  Red Mountain 55k - 7:02

      4-15-23  Zion 100 - 27:59

      Are we there, yet?

Maybe start with couch to 100m instead of couch to 100M.

I went from couch to (almost) 100k yesterday. I think my weekly average for 2019 is around 25-30 miles. Ran about 58 miles in a 12hr race yesterday. In preparation, I contemplated changing my diet and made plans to get in more miles in the future, some day. I think that's what did it .

Make a costume of bacon and you can eat it along the way.

Does anyone have a couch-to-100 mile plan? I have slightly less than 4 months until the Javelina Jundred.

I am in constant chronic pain.

I can run 5 miles at one time.

                    ok bye

Run 6 times a week. When you feel good, run a bit faster, when you feel tired, still run but ease off the pace. Never miss a run.

                    Week 1 - 25miles (6 mile long run)

                    Week 2 - 25 miles (6 mile long run)

                    Week 3 - 20 miles

                    Week 4 - 30 miles (8 mile long run)

                    Week 5 - 30 miles (8 mile long run)

                    Week 6 - 22 miles

                    Week 7 - 35 miles (10 mile long run)

                    Week 8 - 35 miles (12 mile long run)
