RunningAHEAD - Topic: What tent for OMM Elite?

Hi,

I am going to try OMM Elite in about 2.5 months. The race is 2 days long i.e. mountain marathon each day separated by a night on a campsite. It is also fully self reliance so with my partner we are to carry all what we will need for these two days, including camping gear.

Can anyone recommend a 2 person tent that would be extremely lightweight but at the same provide a decent shelter?

According to the mandatory kit list it must be a tent with sewn in groundsheet:

I have never heard this term. Upon looking it up it appears to be one of those UK phrases. It just means a regular tent (vs a rain fly and footprint/groundcover combo).

I love Big Agnes. My backpacking tent is a Seedhouse (they make a two man as well) it has lasted me years and has put up with an incredible amount of abuse. Plus they are light.
