Abs are made in the KITCHEN!!!

I've had cow tongue, pickled pigs feet, hocks, cracklins, but never abs. Probably about the only thing my mom didn't try to put over on me for dinner when I was a kid.
No matter how much Ab work you do they won't be visibile if you are carrying to many extra pounds around your stomach area. You will also need to cut down on the fats in your diet. My gym instructor says you can do 1000 situps a day & you still wont see your '6 pack' if u r carrying too much fat...Food for thought
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
A PT I talked to at my gym said to do this.... you will need a partner for this or something secure to wrap your hands around... lay on your back and grip ankles of person standing right above/slightly behind your head.... then lift your legs up 90 degrees and have the person whose ankles you are gripping shove your feet back down.... don't let them touch the floor and then lift them back up again to be shoved back down etc etc... 3 sets of 15. did that make sense?

I think that complex carbs will never hurt your appearance so long as the basic formula of calories in vs calories out matches what you are trying to accomplish with your physique and they don't make up an unnaturally large portion of your total food intake.
