Anyone have trouble with Handy Runner recording the wrong elevation? (Read 320 times)

I just started using Handy Runner and the first run I recorded had my elevation entirely below sea level. Started at -57 ft and ranged from up to -3 ft to -87 ft. The route should be roughly level (being in FL), with the high and low points being ~44ft and ~22 ft. I don't think it's the phone, because I'm pretty sure the elevation was correct when I used a bike computer app I also downloaded.

      johnnypebs,

You cannot trust the elevation data from most GPS devices, especially mobile phones.  All apps on a mobile phone receive coordinate data from the GPS receiver so there is no intrinsic difference between how each app collects the data.  The difference in elevation is mostly luck, that the app happens to get a better signal while it is running.  Still, the data cannot be trusted.
