Term life insurance policy refund for 50% coverage increase!
Since having a new baby boy last year and having lost 60 pounds in the last 3 years, I decided that I needed to look into bumping up my life insurance amount to 10x current income (from ~8x 5 years ago income). My cholesterol also had its own morbidly obese BMI.
The first line of questioning from the insurance company was, "Have you been sick?" No... just enjoying running.
So, after the battery of health screenings, and the "Preferred Plus" quote (previous was "Preferred"), the insurance company comes back offering a refund of about 10% of my annual premium--to start over the policy to expire @ age 53 vs age 48, and to increase the amount of coverage by 50%.

You do realize that you still have to die to beat them at their own game, right?
Exactly. I don't want to win this game. I just want to minimize my expenses in case I do.
