Woes of posting last on a thread page (Read 89 times)

Would be nice if when you went to the most-recent post of a forum, the UI returned the last 10 posts, rather than the last page of posts.

The problem is that if you are the 10th poster on a page, the next reply with be at the top of the next page . . . which will otherwise be empty (and without context).

The rest of the pages don't have to abide by a current page -10 rule.  Just when you go to the most recent post.  If you go back a page, it should just load the full page (if that's easier).  Less need to do that anyway, since the primary reason to go back a page is to understand the context of the most recent post.

yeah, or being the West Coast runner who works out in the late afternoon, and posting on the dailies.

Always the last one to the party. Many are already in bed.

      not bad for mile 25

Agree with stadjak, it would be nice, although left arrow to go back a page is almost as good.

Don't agree with Surly. Bedtime is pretty irrelevant to this discussion.

relevance is not my strong suit.
