I run in the 600 for indoor track and im 1.5 secs form qualifying for sectionals how should i drop this time?
I think you'll need to provide more information about your training and background. What are your strengths & weaknesses as a runner? Do you start fast, finish slow? Start slow, finish strong? Are you naturally fast, or more of a slow-twitch runner? How do your times at other distances relate to your 600m time?
However, I presume you're in HS and your team has a coach. It's pretty rare for a HS coach to not control/dictate the workouts the athletes do.
Talk to your coach of your desire to get faster and qualify for sectionals. Ask for a guidance, a plan, and encouragement to get there.
