"Last Post" (Read 633 times)

I often notice that the person named in under the "Last Post" column of a thread is not that person. Why is that?

It is the last person to post OR to have edited a post. So if the author of post 37 out of 132 makes an edit, that is the last person to touch the thread. Modified: See, I just modified this and my name now appears as the last post. Also check the modify note atop my post.
