Snow sucks!! (Read 253 times)

I'm still early in my training and today was my walk/jog day. Did 45 mins in 5 degrees Fahrenheit with windchill sitting at -20. It was just after sunset, say 530 PM, but it was still pitch black dark. The ground was icy with about one foot of snow along the roads, so little room to move to the shoulder when oncoming vehicles approached. We solved with steady footing and a slower pace when sharing the road. My 11 daughter joined me this evening making for a very pleasant father/daughter bonding time. Even with the ice, cold temps, and wind; the nature here in northern VT is beautiful! I would be hard pressed to choose anything over running outdoors! That's a big part of why I do it!!

Love running when it's snowing. Cold rain sucks.

          Not if it makes sense.

I grew up in Maine and ran thousands of miles in the beautiful snow and cold.  Now, I live in California and you know what?  I don't miss the cold at all.  Did my time...

There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.
