I just PRd at my alma matter...13 in a field of 18. We raced to raise awareness for Autism (my almost 4 year old nephew is autistic, so this race had special significance for me). Aside from running into some harsh winds for about a mile it was a really pleasant race. For probably 2 miles I couldn't see any other runners ahead of me or behind me--that had me a bit nervous that I was off-course, but I wasn't. The leaders were pretty much all within 200 yards of one-another. It was fun running on my college campus, even though most of the route wound through parts of campus that were built mostly after my second graduation in '00. Backroadrunner will attest that GVSU has had some crazy development (with no sign of slowing down) since we met there in the Fall of '94. k

remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air.
