So I went to my local school (it has a large grass field) to try out this whole barefoot thing. I have weak feet/ankles and overpronation issues. I am gonna see if I can strengthen my feet. I gotta say it felt great! No pain at all. I only ran a hundred yards at a time (feet got tired quickly). Felt good even picking up the speed. Going by how quickly my feet got tired I think this will greatly strengthen them. On the way home my shoes felt very uncomfortable. I had a bit of very moderate foot pain. I don't know if this becuase my feet where tired or did my mechanics change that quickly as to make my shoes not work any more? All in all, it was a very good experiment. I sure hope I don't get hooked on it (you barefooters are weird lol) but on the other hand I would sure save on shoes!!!! (anyone knows what a good pair of motion control shoes go for?)
