Average pace numbers seem strange (Read 112 times)

Gang Name "Pound Cake"

Hi, curious about the average pace numbers.

    Dec 129.1......19:44:35......9:11

    Nov 128.7......19:21:55......9:02

    Oct 129.2.......19:19:05......9:12

My Oct and as of today, Dec., have the same mileage and nearly the same average pace but much different total time running. While Nov and Oct have nearly the same miles and time, but much different average paces. Something seems very off in the way the average pace is calculated.

If you ran any of those miles backwards, it will throw off the numbers.

In October you had a 3 mile run with no time entered.

Not exactly sure the way it calculates average pace, but I bet that's the reason for what looks like the descrepancy.

        Age: 50 Weight: 224 Height: 6'3" (Goal weight 195)

        Current PR's:  Mara 3:14:36* (2017); HM 1:36:13 (2017); 10K 43:59 (2014); 5K 21:12 (2016)

Average pace is calculated only using the runs where a time is entered. The 3 mile un-timed run is the difference.
