When you are watching Charlie Brown Say, A Charlie Brown Christmas The reason why Their delivery pauses in weird spots Is because.... They used actual kids for recording the dialog. Apparently, some of the younger kids couldn't really read yet. And some of the slightly older ones read outloud exactly like most 2nd graders. SO.... they'd feed them their dialog one chunk at a time and record the kid restating it. Then they spliced the pieces together. Being the 1960s, there was just so much recording magic they could do to smooth this all out. It is interesting to me that some of the dialog is a lot more choppy than other parts. Some kids were better at it than others. Linus' big speech in the Christmas episode is a lot smoother, for example, than anything Charlie Brown says.

That's interesting. And it got me to thinking, I can't imagine the dialogue any other way.

In Great Britain, about 35 people a year die due to handgun deaths.
In the USA, at least 35 people a DAY die from handgun deaths.
(No, I am not on either side of the argument concerning guns, but it is a true fact all the same, just for pondering...)

The population of United Kingdom; England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland is roughly 62,200,000
The population of Australia is roughly 22,850,000
The Population of Canada is roughly 34,500,000
The Population of the Unites States is roughly 315,000,000.
The UK, Canadian and Australian populations combined is roughly 119,550,000
The US populations exceeds that combined total by about 195,450,000
Enough to completely repopulate the British Isles with population to spare for Bermuda, The Falklands, New Zealand on other locations.
Also those population numbers also are indicative why the US is Crazy. Its the Rats ina Cage Syndrome. Also why Laws which work for the Common Wealth Nations won't work in the US.

A few sports facts for you....
The football huddle was conceived by a deaf quarterback at Gallaudet University who used sign language to communicate. Not wanting the opposition to see his signals, the team bunch together to shield him.
The nine foot statue of Babe Ruth at Baltimore's Oriole Park shows him leaning on his bat and clutching a right-handed glove. Which is strange, given that the baseball great was a lefty. When told that Ruth was actually a left-hander, the sculptor, Susan Leury, simply replied, "Oh well.".
Initially the numbers put on baseball uniforms were done in accordance with the player's positions in their teams batting order. So Babe Ruth became 3 and Lou Gehrig was 4, etc.
