Heart Rate (Read 682 times)

I've been noticing that my recovery time is much faster now but I have yet to see any really improvements in my resting heart rate. How long did it take the rest of you to notice an improvement?

Couple questions: What are you using as RHR? Normally, this is best measured when you first wake up, preferably on your own (i.e. no alarm). Secondly, why are you concerned? It's not a number with any great importance to physical fitness.
I usually get up and take my pulse. It might not be a great measure for physical fitness but it does show that my cardio system is strengthening.

My RHR dropped about 15 BPM over the course of about 8 months, and seems to have leveled off. I don't know exactly when the improvement to it started, as I don't take it all the time. I don't know that it really means anything. I feel like I have an absurdly low RHR, but it doesn't really translate into great performance, much to my dismay. Like you, I mostly noted that my recovery time was improving dramatically at first.
