Men's shorts to keep the boys contained? (Read 1568 times)

Any recommendations on shorts that have good support?

Lately I've been getting a lot of people honking at me while running - I figured it was just people I knew, but I'm beginning to suspect it's because my shorts must be riding up and exposing "the boys".  I usually just wear running shorts with boxers underneat, but always seem to "fall out" on one side or the other of the liner (luckily my shorts are long enough that they only ride up too high on hills).  Readjusting every couple hundred yards is a bit annoying.

    Thanks!

If boxers underneath aren't working, try briefs or an athletic supporter.   Athletic supporters  are inexpensive and do a pretty job of keeping the boys in their place.

Under Armor 'compression' shorts are popular with track runners, as some track shorts are not for the modest.

        The process is the goal.

Men heap together the mistakes of their lives, and create a monster they call Destiny.

i got some Reebok Athletic Boxer Briefs (Not sure of exact name) and they are a cross between a boxer brief and compression short.  They are lighter than compression shorts and have a mesh pouch for easy breathing without any chance for escape attempts.

          Really rather quite comfy.

I use compression shorts under my regular shorts on every run.  It helps limit chaffing to some degree as well.

Seriously, any shorts with integrated liner should do the job.  I like the Nike DriFit models, or Asics.  In the colder weather I add the previously suggested UA compression boxers (hate how they ride up in the crackege, however...)

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

This works for me.  I go with the cheap Champion C9 shorts from Target.  The problem with briefs or compression shorts is that they can get pretty uncomfortable when it is hot out.

                Not at it at all.

I prefer the longer inseam shorts with the liner. Unless you're a porn star, there is no hangin' out of these.

I agree the liner is all you need.  The boxers are probably the reason "the boys" are wandering out on their own.  Besides who needs the extra weight/insulation when it's hot.

All my shorts have liners in them that work great and never chafed on me. Even the soccer shorts I used to wear which I started using recently after realizing how much my dad had spent on them.

I don't know how anyone can be out there running without containing the boys.  All that bouncing around hurts mine if I am not wearing some support.  Contain yourself man!

You have got to be kidding, or trolling! Trust me, that's not why they are honking.

Seriously, the run brief should be sufficient. You may have a problem otherwise.
