            This reminds me that it's been too long since I last saw The Big Lebowski.... Yeah, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is definitely one I know well, too. Does that make me old? Wink k

                  Casablanca...only drama in the bunch. "You bet your ass" about Blazing Saddles. That film would never get made today. But without Madeline Kahn and Cleavon Little it wouldn't be possible, anyhow--no one else could play those parts. F**kin' cancer.

                  Imminent Catastrophe

                    Oh, how could I have forgotten to mention, Dr. Strangelove. Along with Casablanca and Airplane!, the most quotable movie ever! Blazing Saddles and Dr. Strangelove have one thing in common: the genius of Slim Pickens. Slim Pickens as Major Kong in Dr. Strangelove:
                    Survival kit contents check. In them you'll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings. Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.
                    Kubrick=genius.

                            I REALLY want to see the new Young Frankenstein musical that is on Broadway! I'm bummed that we missed Spamalot in Chicago, too. k
                            Yeah, we missed Spamalot when it came through Tampa last year also. I was going to get tickets for my wife for Christmas, but they were outside the budget. Sad
