first 10+mi/wk of my life? (Read 101 times)

Finally double digits in a week, 12.5mi in the last 7 days, in 4 runs.

of course since then I caught a nasty bug and have been down and out, missed my 5k race, but I'll regroup and find something else, debating 5k vs 4mi on the 4th of July...

did watch the 5k race which was a different experience for me. quite surprised at the ease for many running 20-25min 5k. Assuming with some more miles I'll be able to hit 25mins.

All ages, shapes, etc... old young, thin thick.

I do need to find a compromise among my activities though, running, hockey, climbing.

I may not double up any days anymore until I'm further conditioned.

I once heard someone say that a working man can only effectively have 2 hobbies, after that, something suffers, starting to think this is true.

I think I need to rotate the 3 activities on more of something like a 10 day week.

Excited to finally be making a little headway into my running / training. Hopefully this sickness helps more than it hurts, letting me get in some good rest.

    300m- 37 sec.
