Heh, if I'm allowed to specify I'm really after sub-1:35 rather than sub 1:30, I'm in!  My current PR is 1:37:01 but my two most recent goal half marathons were both 1:38xx, so I have a ways to go even for my interim goal.

ilana -I have same goal and we can go get that sub1:35 together in 2013. Although I am further off the pace than you with a 1:39, but my spring is all about getting faster!Smile

    PR's - 5K - 20:15 (2013) | 10K - 45:14 (2011)  | 13.1 - 1:34:40 (2013)  | 26.2 - 3:40:40 (2014)

    Moving in ;-)

Hi all, i'm another refugee from RW, for some time i'm after a 1h30m in the HM but this year i didn't run any HM so without doing the race is hard to do the time XD, but my marathon training has really put me in good shape so if i don't get lazy until March when is the HM where the current world record(58m33s) is hold, i hope to do a massive PR and get a good chunk below 1h30.

From now until then i will try to post here to keep the lazy out of me Big grin

I got a 1:30:41 in Oct. Running at least 3 next year. Hoping for 1:28 or lower(Secruian in Jan, Get Lucky in Mar, Red White and Boom 7/4 and Monster Dash)

Count me in! 1:30 is definitely a stretch goal for me, but I'm keen! PR is 1:43 from 2011, set in Taiwan where I used to live - and where temperatures were much cooler for racing than Singapore where I'm now living! Anyway, can't use that as an excuse for ever...

Target race is on 31st March - 2XU HM in Singapore.

I'm in! I don't have any previous HM yet.  My half split for the marathon was 1:41 (3:27 for the full).  I have had a few training runs that put me right around 1:35.  I'd like to take a shot at 1:30 for 2013.  I just started running June 2012 so I am hoping I got some more improvement in me.

No races scheduled yet.  I am planning for a June marathon and I might just slip in a HM in April or May.

              PRs: 10K - 45:25 (7/21/12) | 26.2 - 3:27:24 (11/24/12)

              2013 Goals: 5K sub 20 | 10K sub 41 | 13.1 sub 1:30 |  26.2 sub 3:10

Another RWOL member that has crossed over. I actually graduated in 2012 at 3M Austin, TX but found the thread to be by far the best on the forums so that's why I'm still there.

I'll be going for a PR at 13.1 Los Angeles on 1/13.

I'll also run my home course (Mercedes Birmingham) in February.  B'ham is tougher so I'll be pleased with merely a sub-90 there.

                  Mile: 5:18,   5K: 19:09,  10K: 39:44,  Half: 1:28:12,  Full: 3:21:56

                  Post-35 PRs:

                  Mile: 6:02,  5K: 21:14, 10K: 45:40, Half: 1:42:24

Jedi--since you're also keeping track of race names, I'll be racing the Get Lucky Chicago Half Marathon on 3/16.  More specific goal TBD, though I expect it should be well under 1:30.

                    Post Asthma Era PRs: 5K--18:39 (Mar 2016), 10K--39:40 (Feb 2018), HM--1:28:04 (Jan 2017), MAR--2:59:12 (November 2017)

                      Hey Jedi

Just a selfish little post here to say I'm running the Prague half marathon on April 6. Goal time...I don't think I can hit 90 minutes quite so soon. Two minute PR for me at this point probably out of reach. Will be very happy with 1:31 with however many seconds.

I stayed off of the 2012 list for this because I just assumed that with a 1:23 PR that sub 1:30 would be trivial, but after 6 attempts at the half marathon this year, a fastest time of 1:30:36 and a slowest time of 1:38:41 I guess it's time to and make sub 1:30 a goal again...

                          delucj - Wallis Sands Half Marathon, NH - 28/04/13 - sub 1:28:00

                          delucj - Wicked Half Marathon, MA - 21/9/13 - sub 1:25:00

delucj - Any hint as to when you achieved that PR of yours?

Jedi, put me down for April 6, I'll be running the Prague marathon. I don't have a realistic handle on what I can expect to do yet. Sub 90 minutes would be more than a 2 minute PR, and my last HM PR was less than a minute...On the other hand, I should be in considerably better shape this year, since I was coming off of an injury. I'm making the wild assumption that I'll stay injury free, of course....

Ok, so put me down for a BOTT 1:29. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

It was at the 2009 Madison Mini Marathon...the next week I started dating my now-wife and didn't really run for about 6 months. 2010 and 2011 were broken up by work travel so I continued giving up a lot of fitness, but I PRed most of my other distances in 2012 so I (wrongly) figured that the half marathon would fall into place as well...

delucj: If you ran that 16:55 5K in 2012, it will probably be trivial for you to run sub-1:30. Unless you get really horrible with longer distances. But looking at your marathon goal, it's probably not the case.
