Forums >Running 101>Cadence Issue
Greetings, everyone)I had never been fond of running, always tried to skip any runs at school. Until recently, when the war in Ukraine started, I was looking for a way to let my stress out, so I took up running and was able to run 1-3-5 and even 10k . I was surprised I could do that.I’m using Garmin Fenix5 Plus. However, like for a month, I’ve been noticing extra red line in the bottom of my cadence report. Any ideas what might it be?Thanks a lot for reading and advice 💕
Not quite sure what you're referring to, but looking a a cadence graph on Garmin Connect I see a line made of data points which in my case are mostly blue, with a faster cadence they would look purple and slower they would be green. However, during the rest times when I stopped or walked for a few moments the dots created then form a broken red line below the rest, indicating cadence below 151 spm.
If you are instead looking at a graph in your workout log on RA , you can chose different data for the axis, such as distance or time for the x-axis and you can set y-axis for cadence and also select an additional overlay for the y-axis. For example, "y-axis 1" could be set as a blue line for cadence and on the same graph you could have "y-axis 2" with pace showing as a red line. You can also select to display something else instead, such as heart rate or elevation. Or, if you only want cadence displayed only, you can just chose a blank for "y-axis 2."
Long distance runner, what you standin' there for?Get up, get out, get out of the door!
Thanks a lot for your response!
I’ve uploaded the screenshots from my Garmin, this is a month difference
