Forums >General Running>More miles than degrees club
I dare anyone to beat this differential: 232 miles, 31 degrees.
I think you got it, Bob!

Prince of Fatness
5.2 miles, 5 degrees. I’ll take it.
Not at it at all.
I think this is the only time that I'll get to post in this thread as it rarely gets super cold here. But 6 miles this morning in 3F!
Just 4 miles in 2F (feels like -13F). And I waited until midday when it was “warm!”
No competition for Bob though!
I joined the club right away in 2018. -7°F for 1.3 miles. I might need some goggles for anything longer because my eyes almost froze open.
Slower but happier
Made it today, 2 degrees out (-13 windchill) 6.5 miles on trail, found new type of pain combining nether freezing w chaffing.
2020 goal: couch to 5K, currently working on the couch block
Maybe in a months worth of running!!!
Half Faster Runners 2023

This might be my first time in this club. 3 or 4 degrees, 4.1 miles. It was terrible! Wouldn't have considered it except for the Strava/Lululemon challenge and the miles have to be GPS recorded.
Out there running since dinosaurs roamed the earth
First of all CanadianMeg...thats incredible
But I finally earned my membership in the club this winter! 5.25 miles this morning at -1 degree
not bad for mile 25
Another one this morning at -5F. It's been a much colder winter here than last year. I just ran a report...in winter 2016-2017, there were eight mornings in the single digits. This winter, I have already had 12, and four more forecast for this week.
undue monkey
High has not been freezing or above since Christmas Eve here.
5.02/5 deg yesterday (count it! lol)
6.2/-2 deg this morning
Also: holy shit, Bob.
This club sucks.
Bob's running on another planet.................
2 days in a row, 14 miles at 6 degrees and 5.2 miles at 3 degrees.
I'm ready for winter to be over.
Get off my porch
Wouldn't have considered it except for the Strava/Lululemon challenge and the miles have to be GPS recorded.

This
So today's lunch run was 4.4 @ -2.
As Groucho Marx once said - I'm not sure I want to be in a club that would accept me as a member
