Forums >Technical Support>Garmin Pairing Keeps Dropping
So, been uploading data from MANY garmins over the years with very little issues. Uploaded yesterday, no problem. Went to upload today -- device not found.
Uninstalled communicator, usb drivers and ant agent. Re-installed all and re-paired the garmin.
Found the device, but said no new data. Tried to check the pairing and it had dropped. So, basically I can get the device to pair again, but not upload data to RA. Then the pairing seems to drop from the ant agent and RA.
Kind of at a loss right now.
Tried to send trace report from upload page and got undeliverable error...
Tried in Version 39.0.2171.95 m of Chrome and IE 11.0.14.

Uninstalled and re-installed everything.
Rebooted -- was able to upload today's run???
After I uploaded the run -- went back to the upload page and it appears the device connectivity is lost again???
Deleted TCX and FIT files.
Then deleted GarminDevice.XML and did a hard reset on the device.
This seems to have resolved the issue -- for now...

Did you mention what device model you're using?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Sorry -- Forerunner 310XT...
Yeah same problem at times with my 310XT, and same solution, hard reset then re-pairing.
Seems to be after the data download has started before I have completed my activity (walk inside, forget to press and hold lap button etc) or sometimes after I connect to the charging clip and for some reason it turns itself on.
Although it hasn't done it often, maybe 3 times in the last couple of years.

I know there are several 310xt specific threads on this issue here at RA and also at the garminconnect forums.
